It is only when something impactful happens in our lives that spark an awakening. Which can often focus your attention outside to something bigger than yourself. An inner knowing begins to evolve as you search for a deeper meaning to your life.
To be able to contemplate the nature of existence, the universe, space, time and other metaphysical aspects can be practiced through observational thinking. The ability to contemplate these issues from a non-existential perspective often takes a life event.
Something that can stop you in your tracks, can lead you to question why this thing happened to you. It may be an illness, accident or losing someone very dear to you. For some these events are life changing.
But, it does not have to be a life changing event that sparks an interest in spirituality. It may be a gradual process, where you become fed up with your life and seek a different purpose.
The journey towards spiritual intelligence can mean you derive personal meaning and purpose from all physical and mental experiences. This includes the capacity to create and master a life purpose.
