Soak away stress – a quick and easy way to de-charge to re-charge your energy!

Most of us feel the pressures of this time of year, even if you are not the one running around and are calm it doesn’t mean that you can’t still feel the effects of pressure from those around you. Which means that most of us will get over-charged mentally, emotionally and physically over the festive season.
A quick and easy way to de-charge from all that frenetic energy and then recharge yourself with calmer energy is to simply have a long soak in the bath with bath salts: 20 minutes is the most beneficial time, allowing you to feel calm, at peace and centred again.
Bath salts to choose from include:
Epsom salts These break down in water into magnesium, which is absorbed into our system through our skin. Magnesium promotes better sleep, helps muscle recovery following exercise, injury or general aches and pains, benefits digestion and reduces swelling. It’s a great skin softener too.
Dead Sea salt Most salt from the ocean is approximately 85% sodium chloride (the same salt as table salt) while Dead Sea salt is only 30.5%, with the remainder composed of other dried minerals and salts. So this mineral-rich salt contains lots of natural elements to help relax and detoxify the body.
Himalayan salts Best known for its pretty pink colour, derived from trace minerals such as magnesium, calcium and iodine, Himalayan salt is hand-mined from caves in northern Pakistan. It has matured over the past 250 million years under intense tectonic pressure in an environment that’s free of toxins and impurities. Containing about 80 natural minerals and elements used by the human body, it is popular in Ayurvedic, Tibetan and other traditional complementary medicines, as it is believed that Himalayan salt’s unique cellular structure means it has healing vibrational energy, for example, harmonising the alkaline/acidity balance in the body, normalising blood pressure and eliminating or dissolving toxic elements in the body.
Happy relaxing!
